God Made Oklahomans

I honestly cannot find the source of this poem, it is truly one of the best descriptions of an Oklahoman that I can find.  This is why Oklahoma is the best place.  This is why I am proud to be an Okie.  This is why I am proud to call Moore, Oklahoma my hometown.

Belle Starr the Bandit Queen of Oklahoma

When I think of Belle Starr I think of a woman who probably said something along these lines: "Let 'em talk."

Sometimes you can't control what is said about you.  BUT, sometimes you can.  

So who was Belle Starr and why am I even concerned about people talking about her?

Let the travels begin!

Who loves a good travel guide? Or website?  Me, me, me - look at me!  I do!

No, seriously I do.  I could just travel if anyone out in the world is willing to pay me to do so.  I will blog about it and give you so much adoration and praise for hiring me to explore...

Back to the travel guides - They are pretty darn awesome and I find them useful as well.  What kind of emotions overcome a person like me when you get this wonderful guide in the mail?

The Playoffs are a time for...

Apparently for me, crying.

If you didn't already know - I have season tickets to the Thunder.  I have had them since the first season.  I was told that year that the team would never stay (don't even get me started!), I wasted my money on a team that would never be good (had they heard about this kid named Kevin Durant?), and that the NBA was absolutely ridiculous in a college football state (umm...different sports, now you want to talk NFL - different story).  But regardless of the naysayers I stuck through the hardest sports experience of my life - Season 1.  It was incredibly depressing and painful to sit through.  That was until the New Year's Eve game.  What a glorious moment!  We won and from that moment on we won a lot more.

Here is a good example of an income and expense report. These are easy to do once you know your monthly bills and then you can plan better for paying off certain debts or you can alter them to better fit your needs for the month like clothing expenses for school or more food expenses because of a party. The prettier the background the more likely you are to fill it out...science says so! Okay, no it doesn't but I do! 

Norman Music Festival

What is it about music and a festival that makes a person become so happy?

I just love being around original people who have something in their music that isn't radio ready.  Don't get me wrong, I love some radio artists.  For instance, I love John Mayer, but trust me when I say that if you attend one of his concerts expecting the pop songs that made him famous to be his showcase you are completely dead wrong.  John is an artist with guitar picking skills beyond all belief.  Can you tell he is my favorite?
